Create and monitor the curriculum for all of the schools in the district. Decide strategies for learning practices and how they are to be implemented. Spearhead the development of curriculum for English language arts and math for grades K–12 in accordance to state requirements. Establish process improvements when needed to maximize student achievement and teacher excellence. Recruit, hire, evaluate, and critique teachers and principals and oversee professional development. Coordinate community engagement efforts that bridge schools with their community stakeholders.
