Elementary level Science Instructional Coach

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Teaching & Learning and in collaboration with elementary building principals, these positions will each serve two elementary schools to implement the new science standards and curriculum for grades K-5.
Plan and deliver effective professional development for teachers and administrators in the area of K-5 science implementation.
Observe and coach teachers’ classroom implementation of the new curriculum.
Ability to establish a cooperative working relationship with staff, principals, teachers and district office.
Prefer applicants with experience in science instruction at the elementary and an interest/experience in working with teachers.
Must hold a valid Minnesota teaching license
Ability to work in a team
Knowledge and experience with educational technology
Dedication to positive student, staff, and parent relationships
Demonstrate reflective research-based response to teaching and learning
