Youth Mental Health Navigator

A full-time (1.00 FTEs) position as a Youth Mental Health Navigator is available beginning August 21, 2023, for the 2023-24 school year.
Summary of Duties:
Provide social work services in the role of Youth Mental Health Navigator by collaborating with school social workers and local mental health partners.Primary Tasks:
Collaborate with school social workers regarding students who need community mental health resources and services. Collaborate with school social workers on the necessary individual student’s need to access outside mental health services. Maintain effective communication with County Social Services Agencies with a focus on students experiencing social and emotional issues. Network and consult with community professionals who may provide potential mental health services to students and their families.
Organizational Relationships:
This position reports directly to the Director of Student Support Services.
Working Conditions
Predominantly in school settings
191-day contract
Some summer work may be available
Standard office environment
Local and state-wide travel as part of service delivery
Some lifting and movement of materials and/or equipment typically <50 lbs.
Qualifications required:
Bachelors degree in Social Work preferred
Valid Minnesota Department of Education School Social Work License
State of Minnesota Board of Social Work License

Others with experience in mental health fields will be considered.
