Minnehaha Academy is a PreK – 12 Christian school and a ministry of the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church of America.
Our mission is to provide a high quality education integrating the Christian faith and learning.
The Lower School has an opening for a full-time CORE teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. This position will work closely with grade level teachers and the Director of Teaching and Learning to develop and lead grade level specific project-based learning experiences. This teacher will serve as a Lower School Specialist serving grades K-5 in our Specialist rotation.
This is a new position, borne out of our Strategic Plan and a commitment to creating experiences that reflect our Core Values and encourage students to become whole and holy people, prepared to make a Kingdom impact.
Requirements
Qualifications for the position include:
- Previous experience teaching elementary school students; teaching experience in multiple grade levels preferred
- Proficiency and understanding of project-based learning strongly preferred
- Ability to integrate the Christian faith with instruction
- Strong collaboration skills with colleagues and community partners
- Critical attributes: highly organized, learner mindset, flexible, leadership, self-starter, innovative
- Ability to learn and integrate instructional technology
- State licensure required; elementary licensure preferred
