Title I Reading Teacher

Westside Elementary is seeking a full time Title I Reading Teacher with a passion for inspiring and encouraging ALL students to reach their potential through character development and academic growth within a positive and safe classroom environment. Candidates must be able to build successful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues by providing clear expectations and ongoing communication.
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold a Reading license;
* Have experience using various benchmark and progress monitoring assessments:
* Be skilled in gathering, desegregating, and analyzing data:
* Knowledgeable of and able to effectively use research based interventions;
* Have a solid understanding of the art and science of teaching reading.
* Understand essential aspects of teacher collaboration as it falls within the Professional Learning Community concept
* Be an effective communicator.
