POSITION LOCATION: Southwest West Central Service Cooperative (SWWC) with placement in Southwest Minnesota.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: The School Advocate builds the capacity of districts, schools, and charters to engage in continuous improvement, to implement the World’s Best Workforce legislation and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The Advocate provides technical assistance in schools and works with school leadership teams to coordinate improvement efforts for all students, build district capacity, and engages in continuous improvement efforts. The ultimate goal of this position is to close achievement gaps, while increasing achievement and graduation rates for all student groups.
Requirements
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree with MDE licensure (or ability to obtain) MN Teaching license. Five years’ experience preferred with knowledge and skills in leadership, coaching and school improvement. Valid driver’s license required.
Salary/Benefits
SALARY: Full-time (215-day contract) year round position beginning 7/1/22. Excellent salary and benefits; salary is based on education, qualifications, abilities, and experience.
