Position: .74 FTE Early Childhood Family Education Teacher

Location: Early Childhood Center

Bargaining Unit: Education Minnesota Alexandria

FLSA Status: Exempt

Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes are designed for parents/caregivers and child(ren) age birth to 5 years. ECFE is a program of Alexandria Public Schools Community Education.

Primary Responsibilities:

Implement inclusive, effective practices promoting equity for families.
Build positive relationships through intentional adult-child interactions.
Create a safe environment supporting play-based learning and curiousity.
Plan and implement research-based curriculum aligned with the Early Childhood Indicators of Progress.
Deliver culturally responsive and relevant learning experiences for all families.
Foster meaningful engagement in early education setting.
Guide the work of support staff in the classroom(s).
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Life Education, Child Development, or a related field
Current Minnesota Early Childhood Education teaching license
