Bemidji Area Schools is seeking an experienced, strategic, and visionary 7–12 Activities Coordinator to lead one of the largest and most comprehensive activities programs in northern Minnesota.

This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and highly visible leader who believes in the power of activities to develop students, build school pride, and strengthen communities. The Activities Coordinator will provide leadership, vision, and direction for a wide range of athletic and extracurricular programs while working closely with students, coaches, advisors, families, staff, and community partners.

This is a 12-month administrative position and an opportunity to play a significant role in shaping the experience of thousands of students across Bemidji Area Schools.

Position Details

 

The 7-12 Activities Coordinator has responsibility to coordinate and supervise the high school and middle school athletic and academic co-curricular program.  The district is seeking candidates with the following:

 

1.          Effective communicator, both verbal and written.

2.          Effective motivator and organizer.

3.          Fund raising and budgeting skills.

4.          Conflict resolution and consensus building skills.

5.          Knowledge of state and federal rules and laws that apply to the co-curricular program.

6.          Secondary coaching experience.

 

Requirements:

Applicants must have secondary teaching and/or administrative experience or previous activities coordinator experience. Preference may be given to candidates who are licensed as a school administrator.

 

Position Available:

This position begins no later than December 1, 2026.

 

Compensation:

This is a 12-month position.  The annual salary range for this position is $108,889 to $120,988 dependent upon qualifications and experience with a competitive fringe benefit package which includes paid vacation and sick leave, health insurance, dental insurance, 403(b) match, Health Care Savings Plan (HCSP) contribution, etc.
