Position Overview:  Blooming Prairie High School is seeking a qualified and dedicated Long Term Substitute English 9th – 12th grade teacher to provide high-quality instruction in a safe and positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter through effective teaching practices, with expectations of high student achievement.
  • Build relationships with students.  Build community in the classroom and in the school as a whole.
  • Promote a safe, equitable, productive, respectful learning environment.
  • Establishing a safe and productive learning environment, including equitable enforcement of rules and procedures.
  • Communicating with students, parents, administrators, colleagues, and support staff regarding student progress or needs.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minnesota Teaching License (PELSB) – Communication Arts and Literature 5 – 12
  • Commitment to providing equitable and inclusive education

Job Type: Long-Term Substitute (LTS)

Position Title: High School English Teacher (Grades 9 – 12)

Start Date:  April 22, 2025

End Date: May 30, 2025 (End of the 2024-2025 School Year)

Compensation: $135-$437/day, determined by licensure and experience
