Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be an individual who firmly believes:
- All students can and will learn, and their learning can be directly influenced by focusing on factors over which we have control.
- You can work interdependently with teachers, school, and district leaders throughout the system, aligning the work of adults around improving student learning by meeting students’ needs, interests, and aspirations.
- You want to work with staff to continuously improve practices that enhance student and family engagement, creating the conditions for student success.
Requirements
Preferences:
We strongly prefer candidates who have excellent collaboration skills with colleagues and an enthusiasm for working with students.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License, EBD, ASD, or ABS or the ability to become licensed
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university - Current valid teaching license in another subject area and willing to get an out-of-field license
- If not currently licensed, willing and eligible to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or 2 Teaching License in EBD, ASD, or ABS.
- Commitment to all students' education, creative planning and organizational skills, and highly effective interpersonal skills.
