Salary: $80,000 to $110,000 depending on qualifications

Position Summary

The Director of School Technology is responsible for the overall availability, reliability, security, and effectiveness of DeLaSalle High School’s administrative and instructional technology systems. This role provides leadership in the planning, implementation, management, and ongoing support of all school technology resources.

Working closely with the President, Principal, administrative leadership, faculty, and technology team, the Director plays a key role in long-term visioning, strategic planning, and day-to-day operations. The position supports DeLaSalle’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, equity, and faith formation by expanding the meaningful and effective use of technology across the school community.

Primary Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Collaborate with school leadership and key stakeholders on technology planning, budgeting, and budget management aligned with DeLaSalle’s mission, goals, and strategic priorities.
  • Recommend technology strategies, policies, and procedures by analyzing outcomes, identifying needs, monitoring trends, and anticipating future requirements.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in educational and enterprise technology and communicate relevant insights to stakeholders.

Systems & Infrastructure

  • Direct the development, implementation, support, and maintenance of campus technology systems, including:Network and computer infrastructure
  • Data and communication systems
  • Servers, storage, and cloud-based platforms
  • Device systems such as phones, bells, and classroom technology
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all technology systems and data.

Instructional Technology & Integration

  • Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and staff to develop and implement technology initiatives that enhance teaching, learning, and student achievement.
  • Work closely with technology integration specialists to support faculty in the effective and meaningful integration of technology into instruction.
  • Conduct technology demonstrations and professional development sessions as needed.

Collaboration & Support

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with faculty, staff, and administrators to encourage thoughtful adoption of technology that supports their roles.
  • Partner with vendors to develop effective solutions while maintaining positive, high-quality vendor relationships.
  • Lead technology-related meetings and initiatives as directed.

Policy, Training & Professional Growth

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to technology use, security, data privacy, and system maintenance.
  • Maintain professional and technical expertise through workshops, professional publications, peer networks, and participation in relevant professional organizations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or school leadership.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field (or five or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Experience deploying, managing, and supporting Apple devices (Mac, iPad, Apple TV) in an education or enterprise environment
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as Jamf Pro, Veracross, Canvas, Jamf School, or Intune
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-level technology environments, including networks, systems, and communications
  • Experience supporting instructional technology with a focus on reliability, effectiveness, and classroom integration
  • Proven ability to collaborate with teachers across disciplines and grade levels
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL)
  • Experience or interest in programming, with the ability to teach or support it
  • Proficiency with Veracross, Verkada, or other like systems.
  • Experience administering cloud-based systems such as Google Workspace, Blackbaud, Schoology, and others.
  • Experience overseeing a 1:1 student device program
