POSITION: STAFF ACCOUNTANT
LOCATION: Administrative Services Center
CLASSIFICATION: EPSS Level III
RATE OF PAY: $87,231 annually (per the EPSS 2024-2026 Agreement)
HOURS PER DAY: Full-Time, 8 hours/day
START & ENDING TIME: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
WORKING DAYS PER YEAR: 260 working days/year (This is a regular, year-round, full-time position that includes paid holidays, vacation and sick days).
VACATION: 20 days/year
HOLIDAYS: 12 paid holidays/year
SICK LEAVE: 14 days per year cumulative to 254 days
MEDICAL: Medical/hospitalization insurance with low premiums for single coverage; generous contributions provided by the employer towards family coverage premium.
DENTAL INSURANCE: Dental insurance is fully paid by the employer for single or family coverage.
LIFE INSURANCE: Life insurance fully paid by the employer for an amount equal to twice the employee’s annual salary
LONG TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE: Long term disability fully paid by the employer.
Tax Sheltered Annuity Matching Program: District TSA match up to 2.25% of employee’s base salary.
Tuition Reimbursement: 50% tuition for up to 3 credits per academic session for pre-approved coursework

Requirements
Position Requirements:
Four-year degree or combination of professional training and experience, in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
CPA preferred, but not required.

Experience:
Two to four year's experience with Minnesota school district funding desired.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of accounting/payroll procedures.
Understands governmental accounting standards, including Generally Accepted Accounting principles (GAAP) and the Uniform Financial Accounting and Reporting System (UFARS) with respect to the district's financial activities.
Demonstrated written and verbal skills, organizational and management skills, ability to work with multiple tasks and to provide detailed accurate financial statistics.
