Edina Public Schools is accepting applications for the Supervisor of Transportation at the Edina Schools Transportation Facility. The position is a 1.0 FTE, 12 Month position.
The Supervisor of Transportation is responsible for the safe and efficient management of
the transportation department. Please see website for full job description.
At least two years of post-secondary education.
At least five years of experience in a related area.
Basic computer skills and ability to use transportation programming.
Ability to work independently and delegate work appropriately.
Interest in working in a district environment.
Knowledge of district policies and procedures.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with employees, visitors, and outside providers.
Ability to effectively collaborate with employees and outside providers.
Experience supervising employees including the recruiting, interviewing, hiring,
dismissing, evaluating, promoting, and training of employees.
Ability to research and gather information from a variety of sources.
Extensive knowledge of resources available, including pertinent laws and regulations.
Sufficient writing and verbal skills to justify recommendations, create reports, and convey
Ability to compute numbers and formulas to estimate and maintaining a budget.
Ability to operate district vehicles.
Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with
state and federal laws.
Knowledge of and ability to follow safety precautions and use protective gear.
Knowledge of Sourcewell E-Finance system
Previous supervisory experience.
Commercial Drivers License.
Range of Pay: $7,213-$8,486/month depending on previous experience related to the position.
