Job Description:
Faribault Public Schools Community Education is seeking a full-time manager position to oversee students, staff, volunteers and programming at the Faribault Education Center. This year-round position is on a 260-day contract and requires flexibility in scheduling based on events; but must include one or two evenings per week. Salary is $68,010 plus benefits. Ideal start date is August 25th.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for diverse students, staff, families and community members
- Manage and supervise FEC students, staff, volunteers and programming in collaboration with FEC Coordinator
- Oversee district wide facilities scheduling in partnership with internal and external partners
- Oversee Adult Enrichment and Adults with Disabilities (Project ABLE) programming
- Support Grow Your Own Adult Teaching Fellows and process stipends and tuition payments
- Maintain assessment certifications (PearsonVue, TABE, CASAS, etc.)
- Collect data for grants and enter into required systems (SID, SaleForce, Workforce One), as needed
- Provide innovative thinking and design systems to enhance course offerings, create efficiencies and improve processes
- Plan events for students and staff (open house, registration events, graduation, etc.)
- Attend local, regional, and state-wide meetings and professional development related to FEC programming
- Manage day-to-day operations when FEC Coordinator is offsite or absent
- Manage FEC building needs including health and safety requirements

- Strong technology skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Must have a passion for working with diverse populations from historically marginalized populations
- Willingness to learn about different languages and cultures
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Leadership, Education, Administration or related field
- Valid K-12 Minnesota Teaching License
- Experience with facility scheduling
- Supervisory and leadership experience
- Adult Education program development and teaching
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Somal
