The Director of Teaching and Learning provides executive leadership and strategic vision for the district’s educational programs. In alignment with our district strategic framework, this role is responsible for the systemic development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based instructional practices across all sites. The Director ensures that curriculum resources and instructional methods are aligned with state standards and district-wide achievement goals to prepare all Farmington Area Public Schools students for future success. As a member of the Superintendent’s cabinet, the Director oversees the district’s academic health through rigorous assessment, professional development, and the supervision of key instructional leadership staff.

Requirements

Licensure: Valid Minnesota Administrative Licensure as a Superintendent or K-12 Principal required.
Experience: Ten or more years of experience in education preferred, including experience in a significant curriculum & instruction and/or district-level leadership role.
Education: Master's or Doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related field preferred.
Skills: Proven ability to lead large-scale change management and strategic planning.

*Exceptional communication skills for presenting to the School Board and community stakeholders.

* Strong expertise in E-12 program alignment and professional development.

$152,282-$171,707 depending on education and experience
