Full time (1.0 FTE) Manufacturing or Construction Careers teaching position available beginning the 2024-25 school year at the Forest Lake Area School District.
Forest Lake Area Schools is seeking a Manufacturing or Construction Careers teacher for the upcoming school year. The program serves students in grades 7-12 at the Middle School, High School, and Community School. The candidate should display a general background in the manufacturing or construction trades, such as woodworking, computer/CAD technology used in programming machines and lasers found in the shop facilities, and metal fabrication. Some classes currently scheduled to be taught for the upcoming school year are: architecture, cabinetmaking, electricity/electronics, carpentry, welding & machine tool, and engineering. Significant investment has been made in upgrading equipment in this area. Courses often build furniture, structures, and other useful products that are used/sold in the community.
Requirements
Candidates are required to hold or be eligible to hold a current Construction Careers license (function code 300100 or equivalent) in Minnesota.
