The Goodhue County Education District is seeking a qualified teacher to serve as the Physical Health Disabilities/Impairments Teacher along with Assistive Technology services.
Requirements:
Applicants must hold Minnesota Teacher licensure in Physical and Health Disabilities.
Salary and Benefits: In accordance with the Goodhue County Education District support labor agreement.

Responsibilities:
1. Support the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with physical health disabilities or impairments, collaborating with educators and service providers.
2. Provide indirect instruction and support in areas such as mobility, self-care skills, and curriculum access, while adapting materials and strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
3. Coordination with other therapy or rehabilitation services.
4. Assist principals and directors to develop a decision-making process for purchase and use of equipment for disabled students.
5. Participate in the Regional Assistive Technology Community of Practice and share resources with special education staff and administrators related to Assistive Technology and Universal Design for Learning.
6. Provide special education staff and school administrators with information and training about assistive technology.
7. Locate, purchase, inventory and maintain equipment which may be shared among the districts.
Assist with the assessment of student need for assistive technology.
8. Attend training on behalf of teachers, review information in the area of assistive technology equipment and instructional methods, synthesize information and serve as a resource for teachers and administrators with assistive technology implementation needs.
9. Assist with purchase decisions and instructional methods.
Requirements
