Hiawatha Academies seeks a dedicated Due Process Facilitator and teammate to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond.
Job Summary
The Due Process Facilitator (DPF) is a member of our special education team and is responsible for ensuring the school maintains strong IEP compliance and family engagement in the IEP process. The DPF will strive to ensure that all Hiawatha Academies scholars are empowered with the knowledge, character and leadership skills to graduate from college and serve the common good. The DPF will work alongside special education teachers, and under the guidance of the HCP Leadership Team.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and a Tier 3 or 4 MN Teaching License in a Special Education field
Knowledge of special education law and due process compliance
Knowledge of writing and implementing IEPs and evaluations
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with colleagues, students, and families
Explicit commitment to equitable mindsets and practices
Two (2) years of experience working with students with learning and emotional/behavioral needs preferred
Other Qualifications:
Experience working with students with learning and emotional-behavioral needs, autism, and/or developmental cognitive disabilities
Preferred licenses in Academic/Behavioral Specialist, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and/or Developmental-Cognitive Disabilities
Bilingual or multilingual (Spanish and/or Somali preferred)
State and federal background clearance (Trusted Employees) to work with students (123B.03).
No prospective employee can report to work without this clearance being received and the Human Resources Manager notifying the immediate supervisor of this clearance.

Compensation: Salary Range: $45,577-82,065
