The teacher develops lesson plans, conducts classroom instruction, evaluates and assesses both instructional material and student performance. In addition, the teacher meets with parents, monitors student progress, and informs parents about student strengths, weaknesses and/or programs. The goal of the teacher is increasing student engagement, improving student achievement, and providing an environment of learning.
