The Executive Director of Teaching & Learning is responsible for development, implementation, and improvement of district-wide (EC-12) teaching and learning and operational functions. This includes curriculum, staff development, instructional practices, early childhood, technology, budget management, supervision. The Executive Director of Teaching & Learning serves as a member of the district leadership team and the superintendent’s executive cabinet. The Executive Director of Teaching & Learning provides leadership, oversight, direction, and supervision to all Teaching & Learning department directors.

Requirements
1. Minnesota Department of Education Administrative Licensure
2. Minimum of Master’s Degree in Education Leadership, Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment with Administrative licensure, Administration, and/or Superintendent licensure
3. A minimum of 5 years teaching experience across K-12
4. A minimum of 5 years leadership experience across K-12
5. Understanding of change theory, organizational development, and program evaluation
6. Experience in curriculum reorganization and different delivery methods
7. Experience in organizing, creating, and delivering high-quality professional development to administrators and teachers
8. Experience with qualitative and quantitative research to evaluate programming
9. Experience with best practice research on effective instructional practices
