Position is 0.4 FTE for the 2024-2025 school year and will teach Spanish I classes.
This position is part of the teacher bargaining unit and based at the High School. Salary and benefits part of Master Agreement
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a valid MN Spanish License or able to obtain the appropriate license from PELSB, Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board.
Please review the MN Tier License System for various Tier licenses that are offered.
Qualifications:
- Experience in school setting and/or previous work experience with spanish instruction
- Fluent in Spanish, both orally and written
- Ability to create conditions for equity, student success and excellence in teaching
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with colleagues, community members and students
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents and staff to collaborate on student learning and goals
Responsibilities:
- Identify the needs of students through formal and informal assessments
- Plan, develop and implement appropriate lessons to ensure the achievement of student growth
- Communicate with students, parents and staff on regular basis on student progress
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
- Update all necessary records accurately as required by laws, district policies and school regulations
- Attend department, school and parent meetings or function
