Mankato Area Public Schools (MAPS) is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to support communication, enhance relationships, and promote student attendance and engagement. This role combines multimedia content creation, strategic outreach, and event coordination to strengthen ties between students, families, and staff while advancing MAPS’ mission to foster belonging and student success. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a creative, organized, and relationship-driven professional to help highlight student achievements, improve attendance, and engage the broader MAPS community.
Summary of Duties:
Key responsibilities include producing compelling digital content, managing social media platforms, and collaborating with school leaders to develop programs that foster inclusion and support attendance. Additionally, the role involves assisting with event planning, mentoring student interns, and providing logistical support for communication efforts.
Qualifications Required:
The Community Engagement Specialist requires strong storytelling, writing, and visual content creation skills, including proficiency in graphic design, video editing, and photography. Effective interpersonal communication and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders are essential. The role involves strategic thinking, organizational expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Rate of Pay:
$52,039 – $54,597
Other Information:
This is a full-time, 12-month, Non-affiliated position with Category II benefits.
