Summary/Primary Objective of Position:
Under the supervision of the Director of Nutrition Services, the Coordinator of Nutrition Services Student Nutrition is responsible for assisting with department nutritional needs to ensure compliance with the USDA program guidelines.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in creating menus and coordinate data requirements for ingredients, recipes, nutritional analysis including allergy information and link changes to food production records and order guides.
Coordinate and maintain District Nutritional Software: Titan, NutriSlice menus and digital signage.
Assist with developing and implementing Nutrition Services Social Media presence.
Implement and maintain monthly parent communications.
Manage District Special Diets in compliance with USDA.
Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Requirements
- Completed a 4 year degree in Business, Foodservice Management or comparable Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
- Membership in MSNA/School Nutrition Association.
- MSNA Level 4 certificate within 1 year of hire date.
- Experience in a school district and/or foodservice desired.
- Registered Dietitian preferred.
- ServeSafe preferred.
- Certified Food Protection Manager's license required within 90 days of hire date.
- Evidence of excellent mathematical skills.
- Evidence of excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Evidence of ability to learn and apply new software programs for various applications
- Evidence of excellent human relation, communication and supervisory skills.
- Evidence of ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Evidence of excellent organizational skills.
- Evidence of ability to communicate effectively (both in writing and verbally), and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, staff, parents and the general public to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
Evidence of ability to work autonomously by anticipating, analyzing, and problem-solving various situations as they occur.
Evidence of ability to perform duties under pressure, handle constant interruptions and adjust to changing priorities.
