Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Community Education Director, the Coordinator of Early Childhood and Family Education Programs is responsible for planning, overseeing, and supervising the operations and staff engaged in the delivery and implementation of early learning programs, school readiness, and early childhood screening programs.  Duties involve overseeing and supervising licensed and paraprofessional staff; recommending and administering program budgets; evaluating early childhood programming; and working with the public and community in promoting the program awareness and services of early childhood and family education

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops, implements, administers, and evaluates all district-wide ECFE, Early Childhood Screening and School Readiness programs in accordance with State of MN guidelines, district administrative policies and objectives. Leads, monitors and supervises all professional and paraprofessional staff assigned to programs ECFE, Early Childhood Screenings, and School Readiness. Plans and conducts early childhood screening activities. Collaborates with other educational professionals and administrators, addressing the needs of students, new instructional technologies or approaches to best meet students with multiple needs.   Participates in various meetings for the purposes of addressing student goals, needs, and meets the required laws and policies. Performs other duties of a comparable level or type, as required.

Requirements

Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and primary specialty in Parent/Family Education and Early Childhood Education and related experience, and or a combination of equivalent education and experience to perform the work.
