North Lakes Academy is looking for a qualified and dynamic World Language and Culture Teacher to teach grades 7-12. This educator will inspire students to develop language proficiency and a deeper understanding of global cultures. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, cultural awareness, and strong instructional skills to foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in World Languages and Cultures: Spanish (issued by the Professional
- Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB))
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, World Languages, or a related field
- Proficiency in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing)
- Passing scores on required Minnesota Teacher Licensure Exams (MTLE)
- Understanding of world cultures, geography, and global perspective
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in Spanish, World Languages, or Education
- Experience teaching Spanish at various grade levels
- Study abroad or immersive experience in a Spanish-speaking country
- Proficiency in additional languages
- Experience developing culturally responsive curriculum
- Knowledge of instructional technology and language-learning tools
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
District Application Guidelines
POSITION STATUS: Full-time
START DATE: 2025-2026 school year
COMPENSATION: $41,400 - $66,300 based on experience.
BENEFITS: Health Insurance, Dental Coverage, Paid Time Off (PTO), TRA or PERA Contributions, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, and access to a range of additional benefits, such as short-term disability and accident insurance.
