Scheduled Hours/Days: 1.0 FTE, year-round
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree required. Education Specialist preferred.
Valid Minnesota Teaching license.
Minnesota Principal license, Director of Community Education license, or Director of Special Education license.
Superintendent license (preferred, not required).
PreK-12 teaching experience.
Successful Principal or comparable administrative experience.
Essential knowledge and specialized subject knowledge required to perform the essential functions of the job:
Building, maintaining, and rebuilding (when necessary) trusting relationships with all district staff, students, families, and the community.
Coaching, inspiring, and training staff to elevate their best qualities and improve areas where growth is required.
Cultural competency to effectively serve district staff, students, families, and community members from diverse backgrounds.
Efficient management and evaluation of departmental goals and operations with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Project management expertise as outlined in this job description.
Technical expertise as outlined in this job description.
Transparent, tactful, and timely written, verbal, and nonverbal communications.
Pay Rate/Range: $184,256-190,206 – Pending final board approval of the 2026-2028 Non-Union Administrators Contract Agreement.

Responsibilities: Under the Superintendent’s direction, the Director of Instructional Services will lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the district’s curriculum, professional development, Title II, and assessment services. The director ensures that the district’s learning objectives are aligned with state standards and instructional practices that yield the highest standards of student achievement and instructional excellence.
