This is a temporary position that is anticipated to end on or around November 14, 2025.

Description:  Provide in-depth secretarial/clerical support to the counseling department and administration; maintain accountability of student record system.

Job Summary:  The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental job duties:Provide secretarial/clerical support for administration and counselors in the form of data management, student records, typing and computer file maintenance.
Assist in the initiation of timelines regarding processes of student enrollment, registration and scheduling.
Provide work direction of clerical support staff regarding computer entry and overseeing associated projects.
Data entry and maintenance of student enrollment and withdrawals.
Maintain honor rolls and ranking reports; update credits and honor points.
Coordinate communications and mailings to parents/guardians.
Assist in the facilitation of Awards Night from student and departmental data management.
Assist in coordination of data for senior credit checks, creation of problematic lists; referral of processes to counselors.
Provide building student reports to administrators and counselors in specific areas of concern; create use-designed data for project implementation.
Assist in receiving information and determine student eligibility for various certifications, e.g., verifying a student’s age, grades, or attendance to become eligible for car insurance discounts.
Qualifications:  High school graduate or equivalent; vocational training in secretarial office procedures and TIES network training desired.  District experience with computerized student record system required.

Service oriented, consistently providing excellent customer service to each scholar, staff and community member regardless of the circumstance.
Extensive clerical skills including data management and word processing.
Organizational and technical skills in maintaining computerized student record systems.
Ability to work under pressure, deadlines and handle multiple demands.
Knowledge of district policies as they affect the operation of the building.
Ability to maintain confidentially the materials and information disseminated daily.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented.
Ability to operate various office machines including copy machines.
Ability to be flexible and anticipate needs; work independently to complete tasks.

Salary Range: Class 2-A, $22.49 to $24.79 hourly
Schedule: 6 to 8 hours daily between the hours of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (able to be negotiated with hiring manager)
