Position Summary:
The 6-8 Special Education Teacher Long-Term Sub will serve as a student-centered educator who is a learner and warm demander for all learners. Teacher will establish collaborative & impactful relationships with colleagues, families, and students. Teacher will understand and model best instructional practices, serve as a member of a Professional Learning Community, and ensure high levels of student learning. Candidate must have a learner, inclusionary, and equity-focused mindset and see that their presence has an impact with students and our school environment. Position is a balance of co-teaching and pull-out services, all based on student needs and IEP goals.
Qualifications:
-Valid MN Special Education Teaching license.
-Student-centered and focused on ALL.
-Commitment and belief around ensuring all students learn at high levels.
-Demonstrated use of research-based instructional and engagement strategies to meet the continuum of individual learning needs while using data and assessments to guide instructional decisions.
-Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students to achieve student learning results.
FTE/Schedule:
1.0 FTE
Position is August 25, 2025 – October 17, 2025.
Rate of Pay:
Based on candidate’s education and experience per the OEA Master Agreement

– Eligible for Health and Dental Insurance (single or family) after 12 weeks of uninterrupted service as a long-term substitute for the same teacher or for any other professional covered by the OEA Master Agreement.
