Heartland Colony Grades K-8 Teacher – Pipestone Area Schools

JOB DESCRIPTION: Pipestone Area Schools – Heartland Colony Elementary is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and student-centered teacher for a full-time position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Teaching experience in an elementary school setting.
Holds a Minnesota teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsement.
Strong classroom management skills rooted in best practices.
Passion for working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Commitment to actively engaging in school culture and community initiatives.
Collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to teamwork.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and deliver rigorous, differentiated instruction aligned with State Standards.
Utilize innovative teaching strategies to engage and support all learners.
Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet learning needs.
Establish and maintain clear expectations, routines, and procedures.
Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
Support students in developing strong social-emotional skills.
Actively participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and staff development.
Attend staff meetings, committee work, parent conferences, and school events.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure high-quality education and student success.
Administrative & School Support
Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance.
Follow and implement district policies, initiatives, and mission.
Support the Principal with student supervision and other duties as needed.
Developing and delivering engaging, standards-based lessons for elementary and middle school students.
Aligning instruction with state curriculum and district initiatives.
Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum, and student-centered instructional strategies.
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Supporting student growth, character development, and academic achievement.

SUPERVISION
Reports to the building principal.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES

COMPENSATION

Certified staff are compensated according to the current master agreement. Salary range is $47,000- $80,000 and benefits include health/health saving account contribution, life insurance, Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) leave days and 403B match. Voluntary benefits offered at employees cost are dental, vision, supplemental life, Long-term disability, legal shield, and AFLAC.
