SPCPA seeks an Arts Program Administrator to carry forward a 20+ year legacy while introducing bold ideas and new approaches to shape the future of arts programming at the school. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful administrator, competent manager, and willing innovator able to lead the community forward, blending a tradition of conservatory-style training with new and emerging models of arts education and professional preparation. Building on a strong foundation, this position supports SPCPA’s continued success and position as a leading arts high school in Minnesota.
Key Responsibilities
- Translates mission, vision, and values across disciplines, programs, and public-facing work and into operational reality by managing people, courses, schedules, budgets, daily program operations, J-Term and other productions, venues, and student placements
- Effectively champions and clearly communicates SPCPA’s arts program to students, families, staff, community partners, and arts organizations
- Leads evaluation of programs and practices, driving initiatives that strengthen and reimagine arts education, elevate program visibility, and increase enrollment
- Provides curricular and instructional leadership in the development, implementation, coordination, and assessment of the arts program, including the production of J-Term
- Supervises and evaluates the performance of all arts teachers utilizing informal and formal observations of instructional and professional responsibilities, walkthroughs, and coaching techniques providing verbal and written feedback regarding areas of strength and opportunities for growth
- Implements professional development, aligned with school-wide priorities and goals, to enhance the capacity of arts teachers to meet the needs of students
- Ensures legal compliance, school policies and procedures are followed, and inquiries and complaints are addressed in a timely manner
- Attends and supervises school sponsored meetings and events during and outside of contracted time
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation & Benefits
- $70,000 – $90,000 per year

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of relevant administrative and supervisory experience
Ability to meet state qualifications and requirements associated with an administrative, supervisory, or instructional leadership position at a charter school
