Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists (SPCPA) is a public high school in the heart of downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. Students complete required academic credits and conservatory-style training in the arts provided by
professional artists in preparation for college and conservatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and prepare to actively teach assigned courses that inspire, engage, and prepare students for
conservatory and life as professional artists - Submit accurate attendance, supervise students, and grade each student (“Daily 5”) during class
- Manage, direct and redirect, and hold students accountable for attendance, engagement, and growth
- Be open and responsive to feedback to support school operations, respond to students’ diverse learning styles
and needs, and promote safety and security given the school’s location and unique learning environment - Accommodate students with disabilities, as required by law
- Read, understand, and consistently implement or enforce school policies, procedures, and expectations
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
Compensation/Benefits
- $34.50 – $56.50 per hour depending on experience, qualifications, and course responsibilities
- ESST paid leave

Qualifications
- Possess skill, training, and experience in a specific artistic discipline
- Current professional performing, visual art, or creative writing work experience required
- Must complete a background check and hold or be eligible to obtain a valid State of Minnesota tiered teaching
- License prior to start date
