The School District of Onalaska is accepting applications for a Director of Finance and Business Services to start July 1, 2026. This position reports to the Superintendent and is a member of the district leadership team. The goal of the position is to administer the business affairs of the district in such ways as to provide the best possible educational services within the financial resources available. As part of our Leadership Team, the Director will be a key player in leading our comprehensive strategic plan to become a model school district in service to students, staff and community.
The Director of Finance and Business Services works collaboratively with the administrative team and Board of Education to develop comprehensive, long-range facilities and budgetary planning that support student learning. The individual in this role will provide leadership oversight for all accounting, school nutrition, buildings and grounds, transportation, and information technology services. Requirements
Possess a valid Wisconsin School Business Administrator License (#5008)
Must be proficient with computerized accounts payable and have accurate calculator skills. Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Word is required. Knowledge of Skyward software is preferred.
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication, verbal and written skills required. Must be capable of prolonged computer usage.
Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize work to comply with multiple deadlines.
