River Falls School District is seeking a collaborative, innovative, and student-focused educator to join our team as a part-time (0.525 FTE) Band Instructor at River Falls High School, beginning with the 2025–2026 school year.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about music education, values teamwork, and is committed to fostering student growth through performance opportunities both in and out of the classroom. Preference will be given to candidates eligible for a Wisconsin teaching license in Instrumental Music (1506).

The Ideal Candidate Will:
Value a collaborative, team-based teaching environment
Collaborate with middle school staff to support a cohesive 6–12 band program
Promote school spirit and music within the greater school community
Have experience teaching marching band
Be willing to participate in events and performances that occur outside the regular school day and during the summer
Possess training or education in music theory (preferred but not required)
Curricular Responsibilities:
Co-teach/lead the three concert ensembles
Co-teach competitive marching band
Teach individual and small group lessons
Extra/Co-Curricular Responsibilities:
Marching band rehearsals and competitions
Teach one of the jazz ensembles (outside of the school day)
Co-direct the pep band
Coach individuals and small groups for WSMA Solo & Ensemble and State Honors Project
The top candidate will be offered a competitive salary. Extra-duty stipends, as well as other coaching/extra-curricular duties, are available. The position begins on August 19, 2025.
