Special Education Teacher, Cross Categorical

Greenwood Elementary is seeking a dynamic Cross Categorical Special Education teacher, with a passion for inspiring and encouraging ALL students to reach their potential through hard work and character beginning with the 2026-27 school year.  The primary focus of this position is serving students academic, behavioral and executive functioning needs.

Candidates must be able to create a positive and safe learning environment by first having the skills to build meaningful connections with students. Applicants must also be able to model and promote the positive character traits we expect to see in our students, including a strong work ethic, positive attitude, perseverance, growth mindset, collaborative and compassionate toward the needs of others.

Further, we are seeking candidates:

* With strong communication and organizational skills.

* Have or be able to obtain appropriate Wisconsin licensure by 9/1/2026.

* Have experience working with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds

* Demonstrate an ability to establish and maintain a positive rapport with students and families.

* Have a background working with students with Learning Disabilities, Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities and/or Other Health Impairment at the elementary level.
