Position Title:
Associate Director of Education Solutions – Career & College Readiness
Salary Range:
Associate Director of Education Solutions – Special Education, Grade 14, exempt, $99,647.23 – $139,506.11 per fiscal year, commensurate with experience.
Job Description Summary:
Assist the Director of Career and College Readiness in program development, implementation, coordination, and supervision of staff for the Career Pathways Program for regional school districts. The Career Pathways Program provides staffing support to schools to help build career pathways opportunities for students through partnerships with school leadership teams, higher education, and local businesses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Help develop procedures for an area of the organization and monitor their implementation.
- Communicate the actions needed to implement the function’s strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization’s mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these and to do extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
- Act a business partner to key internal clients, providing high-quality professional services and a personal example to support improved practices. Build professional credibility and mutual trust. Represent the organization’s practices in a professional forum.
- Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team/personal objectives.
- Signal opportunities for business performance improvement through small changes to the way work is done.
- Take part in developing and executing diverse activities for educational program evaluation.
Contribute to the formation of one or more elements of functional strategy through specialist expertise and insights, to ensure that the strategy meets business needs. - Plan, develop, and design support programs informed by best practice, evidence-based techniques, and service user needs to ensure that the programs support self-development and promote knowledge, skills, and resilience. Involves leading delivery of the programs.
- Take responsibility for setting and managing area budgets so they align with organizational strategy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education
- Current teaching license
- Minimum ten years of experience in the field of education
- Experience in leadership
- Experience with program development and management
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in education or other related field
- Two years of experience in leading or supervising teams
- Expertise and/or experience in group facilitation and adult learning
- Expertise meeting current and changing needs of education in the region
- Expertise in the development of K12 career and college readiness programming and/or development of secondary career pathways
Location:
- Applicants should be located near or in the counties we serve (Region 5) and be able to commute to the office and throughout the region at least 2-3 days a week for meetings and support.
- On occasion may be expected to attend meetings or trainings at Sourcewell’s headquarters in Staples, MN, advance notice would be given to team member.
