Candidate will be responsible for all assigned duties and responsibilities, which will include: personalizing instruction for students, implementing curriculum including physical education activities, communicating with parents, managing the classroom, and working collaboratively with colleagues as a member of the Teacher/Facilitator Team of Lighthouse School.
Previous experience working successfully with elementary or secondary level gifted students and employing differentiated instruction; knowledge and experience with inquiry based learning; and technology skills required.
Current Minnesota State Licensure in Elementary or Secondary Education.
Position requires someone who is enthusiastic, innovative, energetic and motivated about facilitating the learning of gifted students. Position also requires working collaboratively with staff, while having the ability to be a flexible team member. Candidate must have strong communication skills and value working in partnership with parents and other staff members to provide a professional learning community focused on improving student learning. Preference given to those candidates with a Certificate in Gifted Education or a Master's degree in Gifted education.
