1.0 FTE Special Education Teaching position to teach social skills and behavior management techniques, working with students in grades and buildings that are yet to be determined, primarily with Autsism Spectrum Disorders and some Emotional Behavioral Disorders. This role will begin in the 2021/2022 school year.

Duties of this job include, but are not limited to –
Develop and provide direct social, emotional, and behavior instruction.
Conduct formative assessment, and monitor progress, to guide instructional planning.
Conduct social, emotional, and behavioral assessments as part of triannual special education evaluations.
Consult with general and special education staff.
Maintain student records of services provided.
Participate in IEP and evaluation summary meetings.
Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Previous experience or willingness to work with students struggling with behavior management. Additional knowledge or experience with due process/assessments/methods and current trends in the field of behavior interventions and support.
Experience in developing and providing direct social, emotional and behavioral instruction.
Experience implementing strategies for improving social skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds weight (and/or up to adult-size body weight with two-to-three person lift).
Experience with standardized assessment tools.
Knowledge of Special Education Due Process procedures.
Ability to effectively collaborate.
Ability to communicate with parent/guardian and team members.
Must have current Minnesota EBD, Autism or ABS teaching license.
