St. Francis Area Schools is located in northern Anoka County and southern Isanti County. We are a rural/suburban district, covering 165 square miles with our early childhood center, three elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and one ALC. Our school district annually educates more than 4,500 students and employs more than 750 staff members.

Qualifications/Experience
• Full Minnesota licensure in school psychology required
• Prefer experience working in E-21 education as a school psychologist
• Prefer experience working in multiple school sites
• Prefer someone who has worked with a student intervention team to implement and monitor pre-referral interventions Skills Needed Assessment, problem-solving, behavior analysis, academic and behavior intervention skills, verbal and written language skills, interpersonal skills
Responsibilities/Duties
The School Psychologist provides educational evaluations and consultation to children, parents, teachers and staff regarding the prevention and/or interventions which impact the education of students. • Administers individual cognitive assessments for students with disabilities to ensure that students meet state and federal eligibility requirements for special education services• Identifies basic psychological processing and executive functioning strengths and weaknesses
• Provides support in identifying academic and emotional/social needs
• Assessing students in order to determine eligibility for special education services or continuing need for special education services
• Ensures that proper procedures, methods and timelines are followed in accordance with federal laws, Minnesota statutes and other guidelines
• Consultation to special and regular education personnel on programs for students with disabilities
• Assist in development of and provide continued support in students’ Individual Education Programs (IEPs), including the development of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Positive Behavior Intervention Plans (PBIP).
• Participate on site-based student intervention teams to develop intervention strategies and supports with possibilities to provide direct services to students • Assist with school crisis prevention and crisis intervention and recovery
Contract Days/Hours
The duty day is Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day, 186 contract days per year prorated (includes professional development time).
Salary: $48,166 – $89,645 per Teachers Work Agreement
