ABOUT THE COMMUNITY/SCHOOL DISTRICT:

The Lac qui Parle Valley Schools’ main office is in Madison, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 757 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.

LEADERSHIP PROFILE: The Lac qui Parle Valley School Board seeks a superintendent who:

  • Acts with honesty and in an ethical manner with the School Board, staff, and community
  • Works cooperatively with the School Board; provides options and recommendations
  • Is visible and accessible to the School Board, staff, students, parents, and community
  • Has knowledge of and experience with negotiations and the collective bargaining process
  • Is a “people person” with proven abilities in human relations and communications
  • Develops and directs an effective leadership team

Previous superintendent experience preferred, but not required.

SALARY/CONTRACT:  A competitive compensation package, with a minimum salary of $120,000, will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. The contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute.
