About Zumbro Education District: ZED is an education district serving six member districts that include Byron, Blooming Prairie, Hayfield, Kasson-Mantorville, Stewartville, and Triton. ZED offers a wide array of general education and special education services to our member districts (please refer to www.zumbroed.org for details). ZED has been in existence for over 30 years and is located in Kasson (MN) which is 16 miles away from the city of Rochester (MN). ZED opened a new 61,000 sq. ft. building in 2022.
Job Summary: Under the direction of the ZED Director of Special Services, the Dean of Students serves as an integral part of the educational team by providing information, guidance and support to students, families and staff in the areas of academics, SEL, mental/chemical health; assists the Director of Special Services in the daily operations of the ALC; provides leadership and direction on the development and implementation of MnMTSS; Supports teachers and leadership team in using data to improve instruction at all levels

Qualifications: Candidates must hold a valid MN teaching license. Preferred areas of licensing include the following: administration, special education, counseling or social work. A minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience is required with at least one year of school leadership experience (ie: instructional coaching, leadership team/team lead or specialist position)
