Job summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning. Conduct and supervise the program for care and maintenance of the school buildings, site and equipment. Major emphasis will include both custodial and mechanical works as well as supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities and tasks include:
- Ability to care for and repair facilities and equipment
- Ability to train, evaluate and direct personnel
- Ability to work with principal and building staff
- Ability to meet and respond effectively to student, staff and parent needs
- Ability to wear respirator
- Helping, taking instructions and exchanging information
- Work experience in the maintenance area
- Some supervisory experience desirable
Minimum qualification include:
- EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent
- LICENSE: MN 1st Class C Boiler’s License upon hiring.
Preferred qualifications include:
This building has advanced energy efficient building controls including an energy management system and direct digital controls; systems are hot water boilers. Candidates should have the ability to learn computerized controlling systems and develop an understanding of direct digital controls. HVAC training or experienced preferred.
Work schedule: 8 hours/day: 5 days/week
