The St. Croix River Education District (SCRED) is committed to maximizing student outcomes for all learners through the use of data-based decision making, meaningful collaboration, and implementation of innovative, evidence-based practices.  We are seeking highly motivated and skilled candidates for a School Psychologist position beginning the 2020-21 school year.

This position will be responsible for coordinating high quality academic and behavioral programming for students in two of our federal setting IV programs located within the Chisago Lakes School District.  Students attending these programs have needs in the area of Social Behavior (Pathway to Change Program), as well as combined needs in Social Behavior and Communicative Disorders (Skill-Building for Academic Resiliency-SOAR Program). Successful candidates are passionate and skilled in using best practices in social behavior programming, data-based decision making, and providing direct service to students. In addition, this position requires a high level of collaboration and creative problem-solving with a variety of individuals, including the program coordinator, service coordinators, special education teachers, paraprofessionals, mental health providers, and county social workers.

The St. Croix River Education District (SCRED) is committed to maximizing student outcomes for all learners through the use of data-based decision making, meaningful collaboration, and implementation of innovative, evidence-based practices.  We are seeking highly motivated and skilled candidates for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) position beginning the 2020-21 school year. This position will work collaboratively with an experienced Teacher of the DHH and Educational Audiologist, as well as a team of dedicated low incidence professionals.

The Teacher of the DHH will support our member districts by engaging in the following primary activities:

  • Design programming for students with deaf and hard of hearing need
  • Provide effective direct and indirect services aligned to students’ IEP
  • Develop evaluation plans, complete assessments and interpret results of audiological assessments, collect data to determine educational needs, develop IEP goals, and monitor student progres
  • Determine equipment needs and monitor its use with assistance from the Educational Audiologis
  • Provide training in the use of specialized equipment or environmental modifications to both general and special education staff
  • Facilitate the acquisition of an interpreter, when needed
  • Collaborate and engage in creative problem-solving with general and special education teachers, other low incidence team members, interpreters, building administrators, special services supervisors, and medical providers.

Central Lakes College is hiring an Administrator that will cultivate CLC’s culture of caring and our strategic pillars: inspires learning, advances innovation and transforms lives, at our Staples campuses. The Dean will provide leadership and supervision of the Staples Campuses and academic programs in Health, Transportation, Manufacturing, and Agriculture for two rural campuses located in Staples, MN. Working under the direction of the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs, the Dean will be the key contact for the Staples campuses and assist with the daily operations in non-academic departments such as student affairs, facilities, etc., in addition to representing CLC as part of the executive leadership team in the Staples Community.

The Staples community, including Todd and Wadena counties, is an active, growing community offering a wide array of activities and amenities. A small town with rich arts programming and a vast variety of businesses of all shapes and sizes. A top-rated healthcare system and a school system with a history of academic and athletic excellence. The Dean of the Staples Campuses will have a key role in developing relationships and partnerships within the community while supporting college and community initiatives.

The Staples Dean will work collaboratively with CLC employees to coordinate the college’s grant development process by identifying grants, and assisting in writing grant proposals that will generate revenue and advance the College’s strategic priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree required from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years of teaching experience.
  • Three years of supervisory and leadership experience.
  • Experience with program and/or regional or national accreditation.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Career and Technical Programs.
  • Experience writing and coordinating grants.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and interest in diverse cultures and populations.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to participate in activities supporting a culture of caring.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, human relations, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel (20%).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work experience in higher education.
  • Supervisory experience in a union environment.
  • Previous experience as an administrator in a college or university, preferably within the Minnesota State System.
  • Experience in strategic planning and budget development.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Effective project management skills and the ability to analyze, interpret and present data.

The Mora Public Schools’ main office is in Mora, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 1,643 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.

The Mora School Board is committed to finding a candidate who: has a record of visibility in both the school district and community and is accessible to the school board, staff, students, and community; is a “people person” with proven communication, relationship building, and collaboration skills needed to work effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders; is honest and acts in an ethical manner with the school board, staff, and community; has experience in school finance and knowledge of and experience with negotiations and the collective bargaining process; has a history of promoting business and community involvement in the school district; works cooperatively with the school board and provides options and recommendations for the school board’s consideration.

Previous superintendent experience is preferred, but not required.
