Superintendent – Staples-Motley School District

The Staples-Motley School District (ISD 2170) main office is in Staples, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 1,200 students.

Staples-Motley seeks a superintendent of strong character—someone with a focus on building and maintaining a positive school district culture and academic success. Regional Low Incidence Facilitator (RLIF) – The Bemidji Regional Interdistrict Council (BRIC)

The Bemidji Regional Interdistrict Council, a special education cooperative located in North Central Minnesota is hosting this position on behalf of the Region 1&2 Directors Association and the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE).  This is an interim regional position estimated at 105 days through June 2019.  Position responsibilities include but may not be limited to: carrying out the annual project plan, which includes monitoring budgets and expenditures to assure alignment with project goals, coordinating regional professional development and regional communities of practice meetings, coordinating with state specialists in low incidence areas, planning and facilitating regional comprehensive systems of professional development, Implementing and supporting indirect educational services for students in low incidence disability areas and coordinating initiatives to reduce teacher shortages.

Third Party Billing Coordinator

Hiawatha Valley Education District is seeking a motivated and talented Third Party Billing Coordinator.  This position is working 20-30 hours per week for 180 days per year (9-month school year).  This position serves 13-member districts, 2-behavior programs, an autism programs, and 2-charter schools with third party billing services. Hiawatha Valley Education District is looking for an individual to maximize efficiency with technology, training, and procedures to best support the education district, member school districts, and service providers in order to best meet the needs of all students and special education services.

Director of Finance and Operations

Description: Leads and manages the district programs for finance, accounting, purchasing, and operations.

Job Summary:

Assumes responsibility for budget development, control and long-range financial planning.

Projects district revenue and submits the district tax levy to the Board for approval and to the county and MDE.

Manages the district debt including the OPEB Trust Fund.

Develops and administers a program for purchasing contract service, supplies and equipment.

Assists in the development of a facility and maintenance program.

Supervises facility planning, project development and construction projects.

Supervises the Director of Buildings and Grounds, the district custodial staff and the district maintenance program.

Oversees the transportation, building and grounds, technology, and food service program operations.

Manages and oversees the daily operations and personnel of the Enrollment Office and Minnesota Automated Reporting Student System (MARSS).

Supervises the district business office staff including payroll, benefits, accounting, purchasing and accounts receivable.

Establishes and supervises a program of accounting and reporting for the financial affairs of the school district.

Manages the real estate and insurance programs including;

Self-funded health care
Dental
Long term disability
Group life insurance
Worker’s Compensation

Serves on various district committees

Recommend policies, regulations and administrative procedures.

Responsible for the district’s annual audit.

Consults with the superintendent and other personnel on questions relating to the district’s business affairs.

Prepares and submits to the school board, reports and other documents as required.

Completes district enrollment projections.

Works with the Superintendent on legislative matters for the district.

Serves on professional organizations committees as a district representative.

Serve on the Superintendent’s Cabinet, participate in Administrative Team meetings, and attend School Board meetings as a resource to the School Board.

Negotiates and monitors contractual and employment agreements between the district and outside parties.

Analyzes cash flow requirements, needs and obligations; recommends or makes investment selections.

Oversees and recommends risk management decisions including property and liability insurance.

Assumes other duties that may be assigned by the Superintendent.
