SSM is seeking a learning specialist in the Center for Academic Achievement, our support program for students with learning differences. The Learning Specialist provides direct tutorial services to students, facilitates accommodations and support for students with learning disabilities, and collaborates with families and other faculty to monitor progress of students. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a learning specialist, reading specialist, special education teacher, or other relevant position. In addition, we are seeking an individual with strong leadership skills who will work collaboratively with members of the faculty to encourage development and growth and who will be an active presence in our school community. Shattuck St. Mary’s School is a boarding/day school and faculty members are expected to be involved with both co-curricular activities and standard residential life duties involved with a residential school setting.
This position is for a special education teacher who is willing and able to serve all disabilities but especially those with ASD & EBD. This position will run a level three program, as well as, serve all other levels around behavior interventions and needs. They will also need to manage EA’s to ensure that they are carrying out IEP goals and requirements for students on their caseload. This person will also be required to work collaboratively with general education staff to support them in ensuring that students have full access to general edu. curriculum. This also requires the ability to collaborate with the special education team at Nisswa to ensure all students are being supported in the way that their disability requires.
The St. Croix River Education District has an opening for a Social Behavior Services Coordinator beginning the 2 018-19
school year. A Social Behavior Services Coordinator functions as a Special Education Coordinator in the area of social behavior. This position will provide support to SCRED Member District teachers who work with students who have emotional and behavioral needs (i.e., functional behavior assessment, individual student consultation, program planning, professional learning). In addition, the position will assist districts in setting up or refining school-wide positive behavioral supports within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework. Primary assignment will be supporting the East Central, Hinckley-Finlayson, Pine City and Rush City School Districts.
