This teaching assignment will provide case management and support to the Level 3 program at the Brainerd High School North Campus. This position is for 6.4 hours/day.
Physical Therapist
The primary purpose of this school based physical therapist position is providing assessment, collaboration and therapeutic treatment for students ages birth to twenty-one in school and home settings. Physical therapist will assist students, families and school staff in helping child meet their individual program goals. Director of Transportation
The Transportation Director is responsible for the overall management of the transportation department to assure efficient operations and to provide for the safety of transporting students. Management: *Plans, recommends and implements transportation for students. *Determines and enters student information into electronic system for transporting purposes. *Monitors district-wide transporting of students. *Oversees the Special Education bus routes. *Establishes procedures and preventative maintenance of school district vehicles. *Oversees training of drivers, office staff and transportation aides as needed. *Assists in the screening, interviewing and selecting of candidates for employment. *Develops specifications, procedures and summaries for school district purchases. *Monitors to assure all school district vehicles are registered, licensed, insured, and meet state inspection standards. *Monitors weather conditions and upon communication with Superintendent of Schools, assists with school closing procedures. *Coordinates reports and records as required. *Inspects student discipline referrals and handles situations as determined by district discipline policy. *Drives routes in emergency situations. *Works collaboratively with the management of the District’s private bus contractor to ensure a smooth, efficient, and effective transportation program. *Oversees the District’s Welcome Center and the enrollment of students in the District. *Organize meetings and collaborative opportunities for safety and benefit of all students. *Homeless Liaison for the district. *Reports to the Superintendent, Cabinet and Board of Education. Budget: *Maintains a system for financial accountability. *Monitors transportation expenditures. *Makes recommendation concerning budget and needs. Supervision: *Manages and supervises all transportation staff and Welcome Center staff. *Organizes and oversees regular and required training sessions. *Evaluates the performance of bus drivers. *Knowledge of district routes and supervises the routing plan and implementation. Committees: *Responsible for in-servicing of transportation employees. *Attends board meetings as resource person, when requested. *Attends and participates in cabinet and administrative meetings. Performs all work duties as assigned. CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE: Physical Involvement: *Position involves frequent fingering keys for word processing. *Position involves frequent repetitive motion in performing tasks. *Position involves occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. *Position involves lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling in the performance of the job. *Position requires regular periods of sitting at a computer. *Position involves listening, speaking clearly and visual acuity.
