Adult Basic Education Teacher at Correctional Facilities

The St. Croix River Education District invites qualified candidates to apply for an Adult Basic Education Instructor position teaching and facilitating Adult Basic Education program participants, guiding and directing the learning experiences in an instructional situation, including responsibility for outreach, assessments, individual education plans, motivation and evaluation of adult learners.  Desired qualifications include experience in Adult Basic Education, experience in a Correctional Facility, experience teaching for GED obtainment and experience with facilitating the administration of the GED test.  A Bachelor’s degree in education, or related field and moderate experience teaching adults.

Intervention Teacher

Foley Intermediate School is taking applications for an Academic Intervention Teaching position FTE 1.0 for the 2018-19 school year.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Foley Intermediate School is seeking a candidate to work with at-risk and underachieving students. We are looking for someone with good communication skills and the ability to analyze and interpret data. This person will work with students in grades 4-8, assisting them with basic Reading, Math, study and organizational skills.
· Work as a team member in writing academic intervention plans
· Have experience with Personalized Learning,, balanced literacy and guided reading
· Serve as a member of the Problem Solving Team in planning, developing and implementing
academic intervention programs including strategies
· Assess student’s area of need and determine appropriate intervention tools
· Develop and maintain benchmark and progress monitoring data on 4-8th grade students
· Other duties as determined

Qualifications:
· Teachers with a MN license in Reading are preferred
· At least 1-2 years’ experience working in a collaborate environment that requires decision making, critical thinking and detailed written documentation/ record keeping would be ideal
