Additionally, MAWSECO is home to multiple Federal Setting IV Programs and provides the educational services for treatment centers and residential facilities. The mission of the Cooperative is to provide quality special education leadership, services and support to its seven member school districts’ staff, students and families as well as other agencies/districts that purchase its services.

All duties and responsibilities commensurate with a special education teacher EBD/SLD or ABS in a secondary school setting. Performs difficult professional work providing instruction ensuring all students within the academic discipline area learn and achieve academic excellence, achieve self mastery and social competency and develop their own missions (purpose) and vision for a positive future and an environment favorable to learning, teaching a broad range of subjects or specialized subject matter(s), teaching special needs students, motivating students to achieve maximum potential, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the building Principal.
