Academic Interventionist-Title 1 Teacher

Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) Teacher
Provide small group instruction in core subject area and social skills in a federal setting 4 program. Utilize various curriculum resources. Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year based on student population need. Participate in PLSs and ongoing training sessions with colleagues on current instructional methodologies. Meet school-wide performance goals. Create a positive educational climate and develop incentives to keep participants in class. Maintain student records. Meet mandated time lines and procedures for special education due process. Assess behavioral management needs, planand implement behavioral management processes and methodologies.
Non-Administrative Coordinator
The Special Education Coordinator is responsible for providing technical assistance to teachers, principals and district administration in the RRSEC (Rum River Special Education Co-operative) member districts to ensure that all students with disabilities are served appropriately. The Special Education Coordinator will work in collaboration with school administrators to develop and maintain child find, identification, assessment, placement and IEP development and review processes in compliance with state and federal rules and regulations. The Special Education Coordinator will provide and/or assist in providing professional development activities in order to increase knowledge and skills of special education staff, regular education teachers, administrators and support staff.
