Under the direction of district administrators, the Special Education Teacher is responsible for assisting the District in assessing and identifying students with special needs such as learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, health impairments, developmental cognitive delays or other similar needs according to State of MN eligibility criteria. The Special Education Teacher plans for, develops and implements individualized education programs and instruction in academic areas in collaboration with other educational professionals and administrators in designing, modifying and delivering educational services to special needs students.

Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools is seeking an Assistant Principal who has the vision and expertise necessary to provide educational leadership at Phoenix Learning Center (PLC) and Buffalo High School (BHS). PLC is a “student choice” alternative high school program serving at-risk students 16 – 21 year olds in the Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose School District. 31 students are currently enrolled at PLC. http://www.bhmschools.org/schools/phoenix Buffalo High School opened its doors to students for the first time in the winter of 1997. Students range in grades 9-12. BHS is a “block schedule” school with a wide variety of choices available to students. 1750 students are currently enrolled at BHS. http://www.bhmschools.org/schools/buffalo-high Independent School District #877 is a 45 minute drive northwest of the Twin Cities. Approximately 5,650 students district wide attend 6 elementary schools, 1 middle school, 1 high school and an alternative high school program.
