Developmental Adapted PE Teacher

DAPE Teacher (0.2 FTE)

The St. Croix River Education District is seeking a 0.2FTE Developmental Adapted Physical Education Teacher for the 2019-2020 school year serving the Chisago Lakes School District.  Services will likely be provided at the secondary level; however, the exact assignment of this teacher is yet to be determined.

The successful candidate must:

Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Possess strong classroom management skills. Be able to create thorough lesson plans and implement them effectively.
Provide consultation with regular physical education and paraprofessional staff regarding modifications and adaptations that may increase and improve participation of students receiving DAPE services.
Conduct assessments for students who have been referred due to gross motor delays and provide written interpretation and summaries of assessment.
Participate in IEP planning and implementation of services for students who have met eligibility requirements, as well as attend IEP meetings for students served.
Write IEP goals and objectives for students receiving DAPE services and monitor  student progress toward those goals through the use of data collection and graphing progress.
Provide direct instruction to students who demonstrate a need for direct service to reach their D/APE goals.

 

School Nurse

The St. Croix River Education District (SCRED) invites qualified School Nurse candidates to apply for an open position within North Branch Area Public Schools serving 7th through 12th grade, including the Alternative Learning Center (ALC) Transition programs, for the 2019-20 school year.  North Branch is located just north of the Twin Cities metro area. This is a full-time position and includes Extended School Year (ESY) services.

This position is intended to enhance the student’s access to instruction and educational opportunities by minimizing or removing health-related barriers to learning, while promoting a safe environment for all students and staff.

Duties are to be performed in accordance with standards of professional nurse practice, district/state board of education policies and procedures and Minnesota State law regarding nurse practice. To provide first aid, hearing and vision screening, immunization tracking, monitoring for communicable diseases, managing students with chronic health conditions and special education needs, and participating in special education-related assessments as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The Wright Technical Center – ISD #966 in Buffalo, MN is seeking a qualified applicant for a paraprofessional position starting the 2019-20 academic school year. WTC is a 9-12 school focusing on career, technical, and alternative education.

Position responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activities with classroom instructors to achieve desired learning outcomes
  • Assist the instructor by providing direct student support in a classroom environment/setting
  • Assist the instructor by facilitating accommodations and/or modifications
  • Assist the instructor with the development of educational materials
  • Provide individualized technical tutoring in specific CTE skills
  • Assist with the maintenance of an environment conducive to learning
  • Perform other relevant educational and administrative duties as assigned

MARSS/Administrative Assistant – Wright Technical Center

The MARSS Coordinator/Administrative Assistant will be responsible to ensure reporting for all student and district data via MARSS to the state of Minnesota is completed accurately and timely.  Provide confidential administrative support to the principal and guidance counselor. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and experience prioritizing job assignments.

Duties associated with the position will include greeting all visitors to the school, assisting with course registration providing support to the school counselor. Additional responsibilities include covering staff break times, staff and parent communications including emails, phone calls, and mailings. Experience with office equipment, including computers and copiers, as well as Google Suites.

Physical education-Health teacher long term sub
